Offenes Treffen zur (migrations-)politischen Lage am 2. November

Der migrationspolitische öffentliche Diskurs ist so feindselig wie lange nicht mehr. Friedrich Merz spricht öffentlich von Migrant*innen, die sich vermeintlich auf Kosten des „deutschen Steuerzahlers“ die Zähne sanieren und die Wartezimmer verstopfen. Einen positiven medialen Bezug auf Migration gibt es fast nur noch in Bezug auf den Fachkräftemangel. Währenddessen wird auf der EU-Ebene vor unseren Auge das Asylrecht demontiert und die AfD ist im Umfragehoch und hat auch in Hamburg aktuell nochmal 6% zugelegt.
Wir dürfen uns nicht von Gefühlen der Ohnmacht, Verzweiflung und Angst isolieren lassen. Wir müssen als Bewegung wieder ins Handeln kommen und deswegen miteinander sprechen. Dafür soll es am 02.11. um 18.30 Uhr im Saal des Centro Sociale in der Sternstraße 2 Raum geben. Das Treffen soll für gemeinsamen Austausch von migrationspolitischen,/antirassistischen/ antifaschistischen Initiativen, migrantischen/antirassistischen/ antifaschistischen Selbstorganisationen, Kirchen und migrationsfreundlichen Kultur-/Verein-Einrichtungen; Einzelpersonen (…) dienen. Es soll ein moderiertes offenes Treffen sein, bei dem wir uns gemeinsam fragen wollen, welche Themen wir gemeinsam angehen sollten und mit welchen Aktionsformen wir das hinbekommen.
Es wird Übersetzung in Englisch geben. Für weitere Sprachbedarfe meldet euch bitte vorab, dann finden wir eine Lösung. Wenn ihr euch als Selbstorganisation in die Gestaltung des Treffens oder vorab Ideen einbringen wollt, meldet euch gerne.

Open meeting on the (migration) policy situation on November 2nd
The public discourse on migration policy is more hostile than it has been for a long time. Friedrich Merz speaks publicly of migrants who are supposedly getting their teeth repaired and clogging up waiting rooms at the expense of the „German taxpayer“. A positive media reference to migration exists almost only in relation to the shortage of skilled workers. Meanwhile, at the EU level, the right of asylum is being dismantled in front of our eyes and the AfD is at the top of the polls and has currently gained another 6% in Hamburg.
We must not allow ourselves to become isolated by feelings of powerlessness, despair and fear. As a movement, we need to get back into action, and that’s why we need to talk to each other. There will be a space for exchange and coming into action on Nov. 2nd at 6.30pm at Centro Sociale (Saal), Sternstr. 2 for migration-political/anti-racist/ anti-fascist initiatives, migrant/anti-racist/anti-fascist self-organizations, church initiatives and migration-friendly cultural/ association institutions, individuals (…)
It will be a moderated open meeting, where we want to ask ourselves, which topics we should tackle together and with which forms of action we can manage that.
There will be translation in English. For further language needs please contact us in advance, then we will find a solution. If you as a migrant self-organization would like to contribute to the organization of the meeting or like to bring in ideas in advance, please contact us.
